Every Honeymoon Stay
Every retreat we love, in one place, ready to filter
This is the full list of retreats featured on Honeymoon Huts: overwater bungalows, private islands, pool villas, cliffside suites, treehouses, glass igloos, safari lodges, ryokans, cabins and countryside estates. Each one has its own page with an in-depth guide to the setting, the rooms, dining, spa and activities. It also covers what past guests consistently praise and practical details worth knowing before you book.
We keep the list deliberately selective. Every property here has been researched for what it offers couples specifically. When a hotel is renamed, renovating or closed for the season, we flag it on its page so you aren't caught out.

How to Use the Filters
With so many beautiful options, the filters are your friend. Narrowing the list down to a handful of places you both love is far easier than scrolling every option.
- Region: start here if you already know roughly where you want to go, from the Indian Ocean to the Arctic.
- Stay type: choose the experience, such as overwater bungalows, treehouses, glass igloos, safari lodges or cliffside suites. Some properties appear under more than one type, because a cliffside resort may also have private pool villas.
- Price tier: set a comfortable budget range (see below for what each tier means).
- Kid-free and all-inclusive: tick these if you want a child-free atmosphere or prefer most meals and drinks included in one price.
Combine filters to get specific. For example, a kid-free stay in the Caribbean, or a $$$$ treehouse anywhere in the world. If the list gets too short, loosen one filter at a time.
What the Price Tiers Mean
We show a price tier rather than an exact rate, because nightly prices change constantly with dates, room category, demand and promotions. Treat the tiers as a rough guide to typical starting rates for an entry-level room in a normal season.
- $$$: roughly $300 to $700 per night.
- $$$$: roughly $700 to $1,500 per night.
- $$$$$: roughly $1,500 or more per night.
These ranges are approximate. Peak holidays, larger villas and suites with private pools can cost well above the starting tier, while shoulder-season dates may come in lower. Also check whether taxes, service charges and resort fees are included in the price you see, as well as whether meals or transfers cost extra. In places like the Maldives, seaplane transfers and meal plans can add significantly to the total.
All-Inclusive vs. Room-Only
An all-inclusive price can look high at first glance, but it often bundles meals, drinks and sometimes activities. At remote properties where you can't stroll to another restaurant, that convenience matters. Examples in our list include Couples Swept Away in Negril, Hotel Xcaret Arte in the Riviera Maya and Turtle Island in Fiji's Yasawa Islands.
Room-only or bed-and-breakfast rates suit couples who love to explore local restaurants, as in Kyoto, Tuscany or the Amalfi Coast. When comparing, total up what you'd realistically spend on food and drink each day before deciding which option is the better value for you.
Reading Each Hotel Page
Each property page opens with a quick-facts panel covering location, setting, accommodation types, whether it's kid-free or all-inclusive, its price tier and the nearest airport. Below that sits our full write-up, followed by highlights, recurring themes from guest reviews, insider tips and answers to common questions.
When you're ready to check availability, enter your dates and we'll send you to a trusted booking partner with your details prefilled. We may earn a commission if you book, at no extra cost to you. Final prices, inclusions and cancellation terms are set by the booking site, so read them closely before you confirm.
A Few Favorites to Start With
Not sure where to begin? A few retreats capture the range of what we cover. Soneva Fushi in Baa Atoll pioneered the Maldives' barefoot-luxury style, with jungle villas, private pools and an open-air cinema. Jade Mountain in Soufrière opens one wall of each suite to the Pitons. Treehotel in Swedish Lapland suspends architect-designed rooms in the pines. Gora Kadan in Hakone pairs a classic ryokan experience with hot-spring bathing, while Singita Sasakwa Lodge brings old-world elegance to the Serengeti.
FAQ
Why don't you show exact nightly prices?
Rates change daily based on season, demand, room type and promotions, so any fixed number would quickly become misleading. Our price tiers give you a realistic idea of typical starting rates. Entering your dates sends you to a booking partner that shows current prices and availability.
Do properties pay to be on this list?
No. Hotels don't pay to be included. We choose stays based on our research into what they offer couples. We may earn an affiliate commission when you book through our links, at no extra cost to you, but that doesn't determine which properties we feature.
What does kid-free mean?
Policies vary. Some properties welcome only guests above a minimum age, often 16 or 18, while others have kid-free areas or periods within a family resort. We mark a stay as kid-free based on the property's stated policy, but always confirm the current age rules directly before booking.
