The Lind Boracay

The Lind Boracay is a modern beach hotel on Station 1 of White Beach, the widest and most polished part of Boracay's famous sand. It sits at the quieter end of that stretch, so you can walk to D'Mall and the sunset bars in a few minutes and still come back to a calmer patch of beach at night. For couples who want Boracay's real draw, which is White Beach itself, without paying private-cove prices, it is one of the most sensible picks on the island.

Rooms are contemporary and bright, every one has a balcony and the best categories open straight onto a pool. There are three places to eat, from breakfast at Tartine to Thai cooking at Yím, along with a spa that can also send therapists to your room. It suits couples who want a stylish base, good food on site and easy evenings out. Couples who want total seclusion or a private beach should look at the resorts on the island's northwest tip instead.

Highlights at a glance

  • Prime spot on the calmer end of Station 1
  • Garden rooms with direct pool access
  • Every room has a balcony
  • Thai restaurant Yím on site
  • A few minutes' walk to D'Mall

Why Couples Like The Lind

Location does most of the work here. Station 1 has the widest beach and the softest sand on White Beach. The stretch in front of The Lind is calmer than the busy middle around Station 2. You get the classic Boracay evening on your doorstep: paraw sailboats pulling up on the sand, the sky going orange behind them and a long walk barefoot to dinner.

The hotel itself is clean-lined and modern rather than thatched and rustic. That can feel cooler than some honeymooners expect from a tropical island, but it also means reliable air conditioning, good showers and a design that stays out of the way of the view. The pools and jacuzzi give you somewhere to retreat when the beach gets crowded at midday.

Rooms to Book

Every room has a balcony. Sizes run from about 45 to 87 square meters, which is generous for a beach hotel in this price range.

  • Garden Room and Deluxe Room, around 45 to 47 square meters, are the entry options. Many come with twin double beds, so request a king when you book.
  • Sea Room, about 47 square meters, adds the view and can be set up with a king and a day bed.
  • Beach Room, roughly 53 to 67 square meters, is the closest to the sand.
  • Garden Room With Pool, about 58 to 87 square meters, is the one to book for a honeymoon if you value privacy over a sea view.

The pool rooms give you a dip a few steps from bed, which is very welcome on a humid afternoon. If sunsets matter most, choose a Sea or Beach Room on a higher floor.

Food, Drink and the Spa

Breakfast is served at Tartine, a bakery-style restaurant that is a pleasant start to the day before the beach heats up. Crust handles international dishes and cocktails, so it is the easy choice on a night when you do not feel like walking far. Yím, the hotel's Thai restaurant, gives you a change from the grilled seafood that dominates much of White Beach.

The Spa Wellness offers massages and treatments in its own rooms or in your room, which is a good way to end a long boat day. With D'Mall a few minutes away, you also have dozens of restaurants within walking distance. Plan one dinner on the sand at sunset somewhere along Station 1 and book anything popular in advance during the dry season.

Things to Do

Start with a paraw sail at sunset. These traditional outrigger sailboats leave right from White Beach and take about an hour. You can usually arrange one by walking up to the operators on the sand. A half-day island-hopping trip covers snorkeling spots, Crystal Cove and Puka Beach on the north end.

Couples with different tastes can split up a morning: one of you can try kitesurfing on Bulabog Beach on the east side in the windy months while the other books a long massage. Willy's Rock, the small rocky outcrop with a shrine on top, is a short walk along Station 1 and best seen at low tide. Evening walks along the beach path are safe and busy. Tricycles and e-trikes run along the main road for longer hops. Use reef-safe sunscreen and bring repellent, since dengue occurs in the Philippines; if you're pregnant or hoping to be soon, check CDC travel health notices.

Getting There

Fly into Caticlan (MPH), the closest airport, which has frequent flights from Manila and Cebu. From there it is about 15 minutes to the jetty, a short boat ride across to Boracay and a road transfer to Station 1. The hotel offers private transportation and can help with the transfer, so ask when you book. Kalibo (KLO) has more international flights and lower fares but adds about 1.5 to 2 hours by road to the jetty.

Only government-accredited hotels may take guests on Boracay. Staff at the port may ask to see your booking, so keep the confirmation handy. The hotel also runs a scheduled shuttle to D'Mall. The best weather is in the dry season from about November to May, while June to October brings more rain and choppier water on the White Beach side.

Is It Worth It?

For many couples, yes. The Lind gives you a modern room, a prime Station 1 address and three restaurants for a fraction of what the island's most exclusive resorts charge. Its pool rooms are the best value for a honeymoon, since you get privacy without leaving the beach behind.

It is still a busy beach. White Beach is public and lively. The hotel is a stylish city-style property rather than a secluded retreat. If your idea of a honeymoon is a private cove with nobody else in sight, pay more for a resort on the northwest tip or split your stay. If you want to walk to dinner, swim in clear water every morning and spend evenings on the sand, this is a smart and comfortable choice.

Insider tips

  1. Request a king bed when booking, since several room types default to twin doubles.
  2. Book a Garden Room With Pool for privacy, or a high-floor Sea Room for sunsets.
  3. Arrange a paraw sail for the last hour before sunset and settle the price before you board.
  4. Keep your booking confirmation ready at the Caticlan jetty, where it may be checked.

FAQ

The Lind Boracay questions, answered

Is The Lind Boracay on the beach?

Yes. It sits directly on White Beach at the northern, quieter end of Station 1. The sand in front is part of the public beach, so you share it with other visitors, but this stretch is calmer than the busy middle section around Station 2 and D'Mall, which is a few minutes' walk away.

Which room is best for a honeymoon at The Lind?

The Garden Room With Pool is the standout choice. At about 58 to 87 square meters it is among the largest rooms and has direct pool access from your room. If you would rather watch the sunset from your balcony, pick a Sea Room or Beach Room and ask for a king bed and a higher floor.

How much does The Lind Boracay cost?

Rates vary widely by season. As a rough guide, entry rooms often start around $300 a night for two in quieter months and rise in the dry season and over holidays. Pool rooms cost more. Check the official site for current offers, which sometimes bundle extras.

How do we get to The Lind from the airport?

Fly to Caticlan (MPH), then take a short drive to the jetty, a boat to Boracay and a road transfer to Station 1. The hotel can arrange private transportation. Kalibo (KLO) is the alternative airport, about 1.5 to 2 hours by road from the jetty, so allow most of a day if you connect through Manila.

When is the best time to stay at The Lind Boracay?

The dry season, from about November to May, brings the calmest water on White Beach and the most reliable sunshine. It is also the busiest and most expensive time. June to October is rainier, with rougher seas on the west side, but hotel rates drop and the beach is quieter.
